Mike is the Co-founder and CEO, setting the vision, growing the firm, and inspiring a team that loves what they do. He holds a Master of Accounting from Schulich School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. When he’s not leading the firm, Mike plays guitar and performs in a country cover band with his wife at local bars, enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking and canoeing, and has even climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro (and back down too).

As Head of Accounting, Kayley ensures our team has what they need to succeed while onboarding new clients and getting their books into perfect shape. She holds a BCom (Co-op) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, completed all her work terms at PwC, studied abroad at the University of Hertfordshire in England, and earned her CPA while working at PwC’s Assurance team. Outside of work, Kayley enjoys adventures with her boys and channels her creativity through cooking, painting, sewing, and woodworking.

Rohan, Fractional Controller at Firm Five, oversees client books with a focus on delivering accurate financial data on time while maintaining strong client relationships. With experience from both public practice at Deloitte and the distribution sector, Rohan takes pride in ensuring clients receive reliable financial insights they can count on. He holds a BBA from York University and is a proud CPA who brings both technical expertise and relationship-building skills to every client engagement. Outside of work, Rohan enjoys exercise, travel, and crafting projects through woodworking.

Aidan began his career in the cannabis industry, specializing in inventory cost accounting, which provided a strong foundation in financial management. This experience proved instrumental in his success across various industries. He later joined a detergent manufacturing company as an accounting leader, where he gained valuable expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation, broadening his understanding of the profession.

At Firm Five, Aidan works with ecommerce retailers, focusing on Amazon and Shopify platforms.

When he’s not crunching numbers, Aidan maintains an active lifestyle through weightlifting, running, basketball, and golf. He’s also a film enthusiast who tracks and rates every movie he watches in an app.

Kenny is an accomplished accountant and fractional finance leader with over a decade of experience in controllership, financial reporting, and CFO advisory. He has led complex projects across IFRS and GAAP transitions, ERP implementations, audit and IPO readiness, M&A due diligence, and financial modeling. Known for his technical precision and operational mindset, Kenny streamlines accounting functions and builds scalable finance systems for growing businesses.

He was also recognized nationally for academic excellence, earning a place on the CPA Canada Honour Roll—one of only 20 candidates in Ontario and 52 across the country to achieve top scores on the Common Final Examination (CFE).

Hanne is our Senior Accountant, managing end-to-end accounting for e-commerce entities focusing on Shopify and Amazon platforms. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Philippines. When she’s not helping clients streamline their online business finances, Hanne enjoys watching YouTube vlogs and admits she could happily sleep all day if given the chance.

With experience from both public practice (EY) and the shipbuilding sector, Lauren’s expertise lies in project accounting, translating raw data into impactful financial analysis, and empowering teams to truly understand and act on their financial performance. A proud CPA with a B.Comm. (Honour’s) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Lauren balances her professional life with cooking, yoga, and family time. Fun fact: she loves building financial models almost as much as building a personal library of her favourite reads.

Brooke is our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable specialist who brings dependable financial support and seamless operations to Firm Five clients. She executes payroll with precision and is known for her clear, proactive communication. She holds a double honors degree in BMOS and Economics from Western University. Outside the office, Brooke loves spending time at the cottage, catching up with friends and family, and unwinding through reading and travel.

Hajimari brings a creative approach to lead generation and client outreach. He holds a degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Development Management. Hajimari is happiest in the water and never passes up a chance to be at the beach, though he’s working up the courage to try camping. When he’s not generating leads by day, Hajimari trades crypto by night and A/B testing his coffee intake, where he discovered that his productivity peaks somewhere between 2 cups and mild heart palpitations.

Our Cyber Security and IT Lead, Paul brings a passion for safeguarding digital infrastructures and leading technical operations. He is currently completing a master’s degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Cyber Security. When he’s not protecting our systems, he enjoys board games, video games, and outdoor activities like hiking and skiing—his board game collection is actually bigger than his bookshelf.

Amanda is our Accounting Project Manager who brings diverse bookkeeping experience across industries like SaaS, e-commerce, retail, and professional services. She’s passionate about building scalable processes and implementing automation tools to streamline workflows, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph plus a Bookkeeping Certificate from Conestoga College. Fun fact: Bookkeeping is truly in her blood—she’s a third-generation bookkeeper.

Ashley is a results-oriented professional with extensive management and leadership experience, known for consistently surpassing expectations and driving operational excellence. As Head of People & Culture at Firm Five, she leads hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement—ensuring we build a team that thrives both personally and professionally.

Angel is our Senior Accountant with a keen eye for accurate bookkeeping and ensuring all financial entries are properly recorded. She assists clients with key management decisions by providing insights based on financial statements, especially during closings and cash flow projections, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. Outside of work, Angel enjoys chess, traveling, and time with her cats—plus she loves cabbage so much her friends once surprised her with a cabbage cake!

Cherry is our Senior Accountant who handles the full accounting cycle for clients, ensuring every aspect of their financial records is managed with precision and care. She holds a BS in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Philippines. Outside of work, Cherry finds balance through quiet moments- coffee breaks, listening to relaxing music, and taking gentle strolls to unwind. She also enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking, camping, and beach trips.

Senior Accountant Krissha specializes in financial reporting, general ledger management, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. She holds a double degree in BS Management and BS Accountancy and is a licensed CPA in the Philippines. When she’s not streamlining financial processes, Krissha enjoys watching movies, exploring new destinations, and spending time as a proud fur mom to her two adorable pets.
